This Ocean City cruise would make SpongeBob jealous.
One of the most popular pastimes for visitors to Ocean City is taking a boat ride. And sometimes cocktails star front and center on these trips, aka the booze cruise. There is a charter service in Ocean City called “Tipsy Tikis” that has turned cruising the bay into a tropical affair. Instead of a regular boat, guests ride around on a full-service tiki bar, complete with barstools and a thatch roof.
And yes, Tipsy Tikis is open—now!
The Tipsy Tiki is a 14 by 26-foot floating bar complete with island music and all-you-can-drink adult beverages. Relax during your 90-minute ride with a beer, glass of wine, or a simple cocktail prepared by your personal bartender. Food is not available, but you can bring your own from any of the restaurants near the dock. Wondering how you can remain upright on a barstool on a boat? Easy – the Tipsy Tikis move along at about seven miles hour, the perfect cruising speed.
Each tiki bar boat can fit up to 12 people, making it the perfect host for your next bachelor or bachelorette party. Choose from one of two routes – a cruise through the Isle of Wight or a Sinepuxent Bay cruise with views of Assateague Island. The minimum amount of cruisers required for a charter is four people, and children are welcome as long as they wear the provided life jacket.
Tipsy Tikis also hosts weddings and vow renewals. You can bring your own officiant, photographer, and (of course) guests to witness the nuptials. Play your own special music through the tiki speakers, and stream your wedding to folks back home via the onboard WiFi.
Tipsy Tikis cruises start at $70 per person and include alcohol. Cruises leave from the West Ocean City dock daily April through October. Find out more on TipsyTikis' website.
