How About A Little Relax & Rescue?
Imagine you're walking along the beach, the palm trees are swaying in a cool ocean breeze, the sound of cool, clear, turquoise-hued water crashing against white-sand beaches is your backing track, and every breath is infused with that irreplaceable seaside aroma. There's no work to be done, no e-mail to reply, no contact with the stressors in your life. At last, you've finally reached paradise -- does it really get any better? What if we told you that it does? That's because one organization, Potcake Place -- a pet rescue charity on the island of Providenciales in Turks and Caicos -- will let you take in all that the Caribbean shore has to offer and you can do it all with puppies.
'Puppy walks' as they call them allow you to adopt a doggo for an hour or two in the morning, take them to the beach, and help them get a little social time. The idea is these interactions with all types of people helps puppies that may have been once abused or abandoned and are shy to humans become comfortable again, thus making them ready to be adopted.

We have seen hundreds of times a very shy puppy just excel and develop over a short time this way. It's lovely. We have found these short puppy excursions to be invaluable to the puppy's development.”
All walks come with the essentials -- leashes, treats, and a toy. If you happen to fall in love with your beach buddy, of course you're welcome to adopt them! Potcake Place works with vets to ensure that the dogs are vaccinated, free of heart worms, and ready to start a new life. They'll even help you get their health certificates for travel and help make arrangements to get the pup on the plane! Now that's a way to remember your trip!
