The 2018 Volvo V90 is built with Colorado in mind.
One look at the new 2018 Volvo V90 and all I can think is 'I'm definitely getting an Epic pass next year'. Finally, Volvo has brought the wagon to the U.S. and it's everything a Volvo should be and then some – luxurious, refined, enough room for all of your gear, and a distinctly Swedish interior. As you've probably assumed, the V90 is a safe bet. Known as Volvo's semi-autonomous Pilot Assist package, the V90 sports an impressive host of safety features such as parking assist, 360-degree cameras, active high-beams, collision mitigation, large-animal detection, and more. We may even go so far as to say that the V90 is smarter than your honor student. [gallery size="large" ids="11977,11979,11978"] Plus, it's surprisingly fast. With a 2.0L I-4 turbocharged making 250hp and 258 lb-ft of torque or a 2.0L I-4 supercharged and turbocharged option making 316 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque, merging onto the highway is a pleasure. Not to mention that power can be had through all four wheels, and the suspension has been excellently sorted. The V90 allows very little body roll and much to the delight of most Volvo owners – the car expresses little to no drama. So sling it around any mountain pass, or take it out in any snowstorm, and all the V90 will say is 'as you wish.'
Best of all, it looks fantastic both inside and out. Anders Bell, who was Volvo's chief interior engineer, has recently been plucked by Tesla to help them blend elegance with technology, and we blame the V90. As for the exterior, I can't stop looking at it, and I know I'm not the only one. In fact, that's enough of a reason to get one.
