Has it really been 22 years since the Animaniacs? Because they're back for a new season this November.

If I close my eyes and imagine, I can still hear them ... "It's time for An-i-man-iacs, and we're za-ny to the max. So just sit back and relax, you'll laugh 'till you collapse, we're Animaniacs!"

From 1993 to 1998, Steven Speilberg's Amblin Entertainment and Warner Bros. invaded cable with 99 episodes of the antics of Yakko, Wakko, and Dot Warner. Now, in 2020 Anno Domini, the little rascals return for 13 episodes releasing on Hulu on November 20.

Hulu offers this by way of synopsis:

"The Warner brothers, Yakko and Wakko, and the Warner sister, Dot — three inseparable, irascible siblings — have a great time wreaking havoc and mayhem in the lives of everyone they meet. They have been locked away in the Warner Bros. water tower for a very long time, but they have found a way to escape. And escape they do — every day! Causing chaos and comic confusion, Yakko, Wakko and Dot run loose in the city, turning the world into their personal playground. And fan-favorite characters Pinky and the Brain will also return to make appearances in each episode."

In the new trailer, Yakko explains to the audience that reboots are unoriginal before the whole gang, decked out in Hulu merch, is handed a massive reboot check. All the hallmarks are here—the iconic theme song, slapstick comedy, the self-referential and fourth-wall-breaking jokes. Most encouragingly, a central idea of the new season is the Warners adjusting to the present day, and their comedy and wit seem to update well for 2020.

Joining the Animaniacs are another of Spielberg's creations, Pinky and the Brain. According to the streaming platform, Hulu will be the exclusive service for "Pinky and the Brain, the subsequent Pinky, Elmyra and the Brain, and the complete Tiny Toon Adventures collection."
