"The Bachelorette" returns to ABC, and the drama's already started! (Warning: spoilers ahead!)
ABC’s 16th season of The Bachelorette returns this week following Clare Crawley’s path to finding love. The first episode chronicles from the moment she found out that she was selected for The Bachelorette, to finding out about the quarantine lockdown in California, and waiting for COVID-19 test results at the luxurious La Quinta Resort. Of course, we get to meet all 31 eligible bachelors during the two-hour season premiere, and the show ends on a dramatic note.
Before revealing the 31 bachelors, Clare opened up in a sit-down interview with Chris about leaving an abusive relationship when she first came onto the show seven years ago. She also spoke of her loving memories of her father who passed away and left a video message he recorded for her that she’s saving for her special someone!
As each eligible bachelor made an entrance, some were more memorable than others. Tyler C., a lawyer from West Virginia, drove up in a station wagon with all his belongings stating he left everything for Clare. Right after, a Rolls-Royce pulled up and revealed Bennett, a Harvard grad and wealth management consultant from New York. There were even some fun and quirky entrances like Chasen, an IT account executive from San Diego, who came as a knight in shining armor—literally. One of our favorite entrances was from Ed, the healthcare professional from Miami. Ed rolled up to Clare wrapped in a bubble to represent their time spent in quarantine. Ed later used the rolling bubble to play life-sized bowling with Clare.

After meeting the 31 bachelors, the fun part was over when Tyler C. pulled Yosef aside to confirm whether the rumors he heard from a friend in West Virginia were true—that Yosef was flirting and sending videos to girls via DM on Instagram. Yosef claimed not to remember and then dragged Clare into their drama. Clare brought both men together to get to the bottom of the situation, which frustrated the other bachelors who did not get time to speak with her because she had to handle the drama between Tyler C. and Yosef.
After the dramatic scene, Clare revealed that Blake Moynes, a wildlife manager from Ontario, Canada, contacted her during q,uarantine which is actually against the rules. Clare then kissed Blake and expressed her gratitude that he took the risk to check on her well-being during a time when she was going through challenges with her mother.
