The show’s second season draws to a close, but quarantine style does not.
If it seems like we're a little obsessed with Selena Gomez lately, that's because, uh, yes. And how can we not be, when she gives us not only a new season of her quarantine cooking show, Selena + Chef, not only new music but also that rarest of commodities: quarantine style inspiration.
Here, we round up her best quarantine looks, all courtesy of HBO Max—and suggestions on how to take style cues from her cozy outfits. Bon appétit!
Selena's season 1, Episode 10 outfit perfectly exemplifies the looks to come: comfortable and cozy, yet put together. Pair sweatpants with a slightly structured top and house shoes (or no shoes; it's your quarantine). Just add winged eyeliner and hoops, et voilá: a Selena-inspired look!
In season 1, Episode 3 look, sweats are once again the basis of a cozy + chic outfit. These sweatpants forgo the elastic bottom for a looser silhouette, which lets Selena pair it with a messy bun and scrunchie for a gentle look—plus, as always, hoops.
In this promo, Selena rocks a full sweat set, but what really makes this look for us is the half ponytail. As Dolly Parton said, the higher the hair, the closer to God. While Selena isn't rocking her usual hoops, this sassy hairstyle makes sweats look kind of sexy! And still imminently, incredibly comfortable.
Did Selena want to look like an incredibly elegant Stepford wife, or was she just cold? We may never know. Whichever vibe she's going for, this soft turtleneck is an excellent way to be it all.
For the days when you can brave denim, Selena's sunny polo, tucked into trendy, loose jeans, is a cute, comfy way to ease yourself back into the "Real World"—whatever that is.
It's quarantine—wear whatever the hell you want. But if you want to aspire to some sort of normalcy while still working from home in sweats, Selena Gomez's quarantine style is a useful study in comfortable chic.
