"Gina Carano is not currently employed by Lucasfilm and there are no plans for her to be in the future," stated the company.

The Mandalorian actress Gina Carano, who is known for her role as Cara Dune in the Disney+ series, has been fired from the popular show, according to IGN.

Lucasfilm has released a statement on the matter, stating, "Gina Carano is not currently employed by Lucasfilm and there are no plans for her to be in the future. Nevertheless, her social media posts denigrating people based on their cultural and religious identities are abhorrent and unacceptable."

Carano has also been dropped as a client by the United Talent Agency, states The Hollywood Reporter.

A potential spinoff series featuring Carano's Cara Dune was supposedly in the works, but those plans have since been scrapped.
