Oh. My. God. HBO Max is in talks to produce an unscripted "Friends" reunion. The deal is not yet finalized.
We just heard the best news ever! Because they want to make all our dreams come true, HBO Max reportedly has an unscripted Friends reunion special in the works. There is still no word of a release date since the special is currently still in discussion.
What we do know is that sources are saying that stars Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer have all confirmed their interest, and that the series creators, David Crane and Marta Kauffman, plan to be involved.
Fans have been pleading for years for a Friends reboot, but the creators were cautious and "not interested" because of the success of the first show. However, fans may be getting their wish (of sorts) with this reunion.
Aniston accidentally leaked the news that a reunion might be in the works on Ellen last year and then recently posted a selfie that broke the internet. Fans went berzerk begging for the cast to get back together for one last time.
This story is currently in development, so check back later for updates.
