Grizzly vs. Elk, Part 3.

Remember this video of the Grizzly bear chasing down the bull elk in the Yellowstone River? This—published in September—is Part 1.

So, then, I'm not sure we fully understood this at the time, but the Grizzly later got into a battle with another bear over the same elk carcass ... You might remember that situation from this video, called Part 2:

Well, now, a third video (shared by Tied to Nature) has surfaced, showing that Grizzly pulling the elk carcass farther up onto the riverbank. By this point, the elk—once majestic—is not much more than a hyde. But it's the Grizzly's, and he won't let it go.

If you've never been to Yellowstone National Park, I highly recommend it. My family saw a total of five bears the summer we went, and we dubbed it "The Year of 5 Bears."

This, though? After all the captivating bear content we've seen out of Yellowstone this year, I think we can safely call 2020 "The Year of the Grizzly."
