Still trying to find which gym fits you best for the 2017 New Year’s resolution you swore you’d keep? Hopefully my Tour De Gym can get you on track!

I have worked out (or attempted to anyway) at multiple gyms just trying to find my niche. It can be difficult to find something you love and are willing to spend 4-5 times a week at. Or to be quite honest, 2-3. But still, it’s basically like an entire new relationship. You have to schedule times to meet and spend all of your quality time there. Therefore, you need to find something you can stand, or in some rare cases LOVE. But let’s be honest, who actually loves being forced to go to the gym? No one. I don’t care who you are. There’s always an excuse! Luckily for you, I got my butt off the couch and tried a few workouts in hopes I could help my fellow lazy followers to burn a few extra calories and, ya know, get healthy and all. So exchange an evening of watching the Bachelor with a bottle of wine for a night of sweat and accomplishment. I promise you, the hardest part is giving up your T.V. time.

1.Orangetheory

[gallery ids="7741,7740"]   Do you secretly want a personal trainer but you don’t want to pay the price OR have the semi-awkward one on one meetings WHILE getting results? Then Orangetheory is for you. Prior to this Tour De Gym, I had heard a lot of great things about Orangetheory. I can’t tell you how many people I know who’ve lost weight from this magical workout. Obviously hearing this initially, I thought I was going to die in a class like this, but you get to go at your own pace. The best part? No one judges. *They offer a free class*

2.Prestige Fitness

[gallery ids="7744,7743"]   You honestly can’t beat this deal ANYWHERE. You can actually join as low as $9.99/month. I’m not kidding. They have 4 locations: Centennial, Lakewood, Aurora, and Arvada. They have a large free weights and machine area, a good size cardio section, and unlimited group exercise classes. So if you’re looking to jumpstart your healthy new you, I recommend joining here. You can also get a free 7 day pass for newcomers. *They offer a free week*

3.Cycle Bar

[gallery ids="7738,7739"]   In my Tour De Gyms, I had to try cycling. Cycling has become very trendy recently so of course I had to see why it’s so popular. I understand why. At Cycle Bar, they made the class super upbeat and fun. The cycling takes place in a dark room with big screens in the front that displays how you’re doing and also current music videos to keep you motivated. This workout was a great calorie blaster, but also fun.

4.Core Power

[gallery ids="7742,7737"]   This was another one that I wanted to cross off my list due to the popularity of it. It was amazing! I did the sculpt class which is basically yoga with weights and a cardio section. If this doesn’t sound like you, they have plenty of other yoga classes for beginners all the way up to seasoned yogis as well. If you need a little zen in your life, I recommend you taking them up on the free week they offer to new yogis. *They offer a free week*   As you can see, my Tour De Gym was short, but mainly because it would be too exhausting to go on, and I’m not Lance Armstrong. If I can do it, so can you!

Looking to do something else active, like skiing? Be sure to take these precautions before heading to the slopes!
