I know what you’re probably thinking. Seriously? Also if you need to blow into a bag of chips you’re most likely not sober enough to operate a vehicle. However, the Tostitos DUI Bag does have a good cause in mind. The purpose is to eliminate drinking and driving after the Big Game this Sunday. Did you know, every two minutes, someone is injured in a drunk driving incident. Throw in the celebrations and parties involved with an event like the Big Game on Sunday, and those statistics start to climb.
That is exactly what Tostitos is concerned about.. Whether you’re a Patriots fan or a Falcons fan, a DUI is still a DUI. Tostitos is teaming up with Uber to make sure everyone gets home safe on game day. Almost 70 percent of accidents police respond to on Game Day are alcohol related. 70 percent!!!
Tostitos has created a bag (yes it has Tostito chips in it) that you can blow into. If the steering wheel on the cover turns red, you receive an uber code that gives you a $10 credit to get home safely. In other words, you are too intoxicated to drive yourself. This is a great initiative that will not only keep people safe and off the roads if they have been partaking, but it also comes with delicious Tostitos chips! It’s a win-win!!
Overall though, please be safe and get a ride home if you’ve been drinking. An Uber is much cheaper than a DUI or a life taken.
