Fight the holiday fluff, shed the Quarantine 15, and get back in the habit of a fitness routine with this innovative program from Zone Athletic Clubs.

For many of us, this year consisted of nice long walks to the refrigerator and/or indulging in more 12-oz. curls than we care to admit, resulting in a less-than-ideal physical shape. Thankfully, there are gyms like Zone Athletic Clubs that have special programs to get their members back in fighting shape. Zone Athletic Clubs' BURN Workout welcomes individuals of all levels of fitness experience to get moving at the intensity level that's right for them.

This fitness class is similar to Orangetheory & Fit36's High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) workouts that blast fat and calories more efficiently without spending hours in the gym. The group setting of the BURN Workout helps to add more motivation, along with positive, team-style reinforcement and encouragement.

The BURN Workout combines the use of treadmills, Octane ellipticals, TRX suspension training, functional exercise equipment, and the MYZONE heart rate system to deliver an effective workout that gets results with regular participation. The BURN Workout is supported by the science of Excess Post-Exercise Oxygen Consumption (EPOC). The BURN Workout uses heart rate monitored training, which maintains a targeted heart rate zone that stimulates metabolism and increases energy.

It works like this: A heart rate monitor is synced to you as you workout. From there, heart rate, heart rate effort, calories burned, and points are scored in realtime. On a screen, you will see that your metabolism is ignited at 83% of your max heart rate, and your effort level is represented by different colors. At the end of the workout, your session will upload to the MYZONE system for you to track your progress.

2020 was rife with events that were far beyond our control. The beauty of fitness is that we are in control and can put the appropriate amount of effort and intensity into our workouts. If you're looking for a new start or want to get back into the swing of things, let Zone Athletic Clubs' BURN Workout get you moving in a fun and fast-paced setting.
