Get into the spirit with ghost tours, parades, and more—the weekend before All Hallows' Eve!

As Halloween approaches, the DMV is cooking up some scary good fun to get into the spirit with. Whether you're in the mood for a Halloween party or street fair, the DMV will have what you need for a spooktacular weekend!

Here's your weekend roundup for Friday, October 25 to Sunday, October 27.

Night of the Living Zoo | Smithsonian National Zoo | 3001 Connecticut Avenue NW | Washington, D.C. | Friday

Spooky times lay ahead at Night of the Living Zoo! This adult Halloween party features bites and brews alongside DJ sets and costume contests. The animal houses will also be open ... if you dare! The party goes from 7 to 10:30 p.m., and General Admission is $30–$45. Check it out here!

DC Mac + Cheese Festival | Akridge Lot (near Audi Field) | 1880 2nd Street SW | Washington, D.C. | Saturday 

Who doesn't love mac and cheese? From 1 to 5 p.m., sample over a dozen varieties from restaurants around the DMV as well as craft beer, wine, and spirits. Live music will get the party going. Olde Towne Halloween Faire | Old Towne Winchester | 1 North Loudoun Street | Winchester, VA | Saturday

Gather the kids for a fun night in Old Towne Winchester! This new event will have local businesses host frightfully fun activities for children (mummy bowling, anyone?) followed by a screening of Hocus Pocus in Taylor Pavilion. Check out more here!

Ye Haunted History of Olde Ellicott City | Locations vary | Ongoing

This weekend, take a spooktastic stroll through some of Ellicott City's most haunted spots! Learn about local legends like Tonge Row's lady in white and Oak Lawn's "Cooking Ghost" and try not to have the pants scared off you! Ghost tours take place from September to November each Friday and Saturday. Tickets are $11–$14. Find out more here!

ZooBooo! | The Maryland Zoo | One Safari Place | Baltimore, MD | Friday–Sunday

Let the spooky festivities begin at ZooBooo! From 10  a.m. to 4 p.m., enjoy Halloween staples like hay mazes, costume contests, and trick-or-treating through the zoo's grounds. Annual Halloween Pumpkin Hunt | Lee Fendall House Museum | 614 Oronoco Street | Alexandria, VA | Saturday

Kids can show up in their best costumes and hunt for pumpkins hidden throughout the museum's garden. Kids and adults alike can participate in crafts and costume parades, or witness a spine-tingling tale. Three hunts are scheduled at 10:30, 12:30, and 2:30. Tickets are $5–$15. Marine Corps Marathon | Marine Corps War Memorial | Arlington, VA | Sunday

Also known as "The People's Marathon," this marathon is one of the biggest runs worldwide! Participants can tour the amazing sights of the nation's capital and finish victorious in downtown Rosslyn. Afterward, runners can cool off with a beer and catch award ceremonies for 10K, 50K, Special Olympics, and more. Check it out here!

23rd Annual Del Ray Halloween Parade | Mount Vernon & Commonwealth Avenues | Alexandria, VA | Sunday

A Halloween parade? Count us in! Witness goblins, witches, and superheroes proceed down Mount Vernon Avenue, followed by all-ages fun at Mount Vernon Recreation Center, including refreshments and live music. Shore Craft Beer Fest: OCtoberFest | Sunset Park | 700 S. Philadelphia Avenue | Ocean City, MD | Saturday 

This waterfront tasting event is a must-visit in Ocean City! Get your fill of 40 local breweries, food trucks, and live tunes, courtesy of Johnny Bling from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. General Admission is $35 and includes unlimited drink samples. Find out more here!

Sleater-Kinney | The Anthem | 901 Wharf Street SW | Washington, D.C. | Friday

The indie-rock trio featuring Carrie Brownstein is bringing a blistering show to D.C.'s premiere venue. Hear cuts off their new album The Center Won't Hold as well as fan favorites "Modern Girl," "Jumpers," and "No Cities to Love." Joseph Keckler will open the show.
