As Halloween approaches, the DMV is cooking up some scary good fun to get into the spirit with. Whether you're in the mood for a Halloween party or street fair, the DMV will have what you need for a spooktacular weekend!

Who doesn't love mac and cheese? From 1 to 5 p.m., sample over a dozen varieties from restaurants around the DMV as well as craft beer, wine, and spirits. Live music will get the party going. This weekend, take a spooktastic stroll through some of Ellicott City's most haunted spots! Learn about local legends like Tonge Row's lady in white and Oak Lawn's "Cooking Ghost" and try not to have the pants scared off you! Let the spooky festivities begin at ZooBooo! From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., enjoy Halloween staples like hay mazes, costume contests, and trick-or-treating through the zoo's grounds. Kids can show up in their best costumes and hunt for pumpkins hidden throughout the museum's garden. Kids and adults alike can participate in crafts and costume parades, or witness a spine-tingling tale. Three hunts are scheduled at 10:30, 12:30, and 2:30. Tickets are $5–$15. Marine Corps Marathon | Marine Corps War Memorial | Arlington, VA | Sunday
Also known as "The People's Marathon," this marathon is one of the biggest runs worldwide! Participants can tour the amazing sights of the nation's capital and finish victorious in downtown Rosslyn. 23rd Annual Del Ray Halloween Parade | Mount Vernon & Commonwealth Avenues | Alexandria, VA | Sunday
A Halloween parade? Count us in! Witness goblins, witches, and superheroes proceed down Mount Vernon Avenue, followed by all-ages fun at Mount Vernon Recreation Center, including refreshments and live music.
