The Mile High City is full of events to celebrate the season of spooky and there is something for everyone! Spooky, sweet, and weird Denver has it all this Halloween.
After months of preparation and creative craftiness to make that perfectly perfect costume, the time is finally here. October is in full swing and we can let our love for all things Halloween out. With the big day approaching, there are so many Halloween-themed and spooky events in and around Denver that those costumes will get plenty of use. We did a roundup of 13 Spooktacular ways to celebrate Halloween, with events for all age groups happening on or very close to October 31.
Boonion Station Trick or Treat Parade

This event is all about the kiddos! Enjoy a free trick-or-treat parade through Union Station, complete with face painting, balloon artists, live entertainment, and costume contests and prizes.
Candyland 2.0
When: October 24, 9 p.m.–2 a.m.

This is event is all about candy, and it's not for the kiddos—adults can partake, too! The party features a candy bar with every kind of sweets one can imagine, unlimited cotton candy, costume contests, a midnight dance floor surprise, go-go dancers, and a glitter bar.
Union Station High Zombie Prom

Miss your prom or want to relive the nightmare from high school? Well, ghouls and gals, you are in luck because this party is all about prom; zombie style. Not for the kids, this prom is for the 21-and-over crowd and is sure to be a night to "dismember". Travel back in time for this 1980s-themed night of ghastly fun, spiked punch, killer beats, and spooky tales that haunt Union Station. Complimentary cocktails, munchies, and other extras will be served to VIP guests.
Denver Witches Ball

Tricks or Treats! Family Overnight at The Museum

Experience a spooky sleepover like no other by spending the night inside the Denver Museum of Nature & Science. Bring your costumes and sleeping bags and get ready for a night full of spooky things, as well as some trick or treating through the Museum. This is a family event; all children must be accompanied by a ticketed adult.
Denver Halloween: Paranormal Palace 2019

Where: McNichols Civic Center Building

Billed as the largest costume contest in the USA and Denver Best Halloween Party, the Paranormal Palace is back for another year of ghoulish fun and debauchery. A costume contest with $5,000 in prizes, over 30 live performers, an open bar, food trucks, and more make this one of the hottest Halloween tickets in town. With over 2,500 guests expected, the costume display is sure to be out of this world.

Halloween Spookeasy at The CottonWood Cub

Mingle with ghosts of the 1920s and dance the night away in this classic speakeasy atmosphere. Live music, dancing, a tap troupe, circus acts, a costume contest, and more will make this a night of fun right from the past. Dress code is strictly enforced so be ready to step back in time and get into character for the night and enjoy a slice of times gone by.
Disney in Concert: Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas

Catch the classic Tim Burton film The Nightmare Before Christmas on the big screen, all while accompanied by the live score played by the Colorado Symphony. An event for all ages, costumes are welcome, and there is a special surprise if you stay for the credits.
