It's time to get moving!
You don't need somebody in a lab coat and thick-lens glasses to tell you that getting outside is good for your health, so why not get out there, get your endorphins going, and take in some of the country's most beautiful landscapes? After all, it's half the reason why you moved/or still live here anyway, so here are five more hiking areas you can use to feel better after your rent check clears.
Eldorado Canyon State Park

Chances are that if you're reading this, then you've already conquered Chautauqua and are looking for something in the Boulder/Denver area that's just a tad different but still just as epic. Well, here it is; Eldorado Canyon State Park. This place has something for everyone and happens to be popular amongst rock climbers. We recommend going during the week to avoid the crowds, as there is a vehicle limit. There's a reason it's popular, though -- it's beautiful.
Daniel's Park

If you're looking for more of a jog (or a stroll) with a view, then Daniel's Park in Douglas County is an absolute must. The views are stunning – in fact, you could shoot a western here. It's also said that this was the place where frontier legend Kit Carson made his last campfire and is currently home to a few bison.
Devil's Head
If you've been in Colorado a while, then you've probably climbed Devil's Head. But if you're new here, then you're in luck. It's about an hour and a half drive from the middle of downtown Denver, and well worth it. That's because, at the end of the trail, you have the option of climbing 143 steps to the top of a U.S. Forest Service fire lookout tower that offers 360-degree views of the Pike National Forest.
North Table Mountain

Looking to entertain a guest? Why not take a jaunt up the North Table Mountain trail in Golden. Then, when you get back, you can quench your thirst with an ice cold Coors. Does it get any more Colorado than that?
White Ranch Park

White Ranch Park has a little something for everyone and its proximity to Denver definitely makes it a local favorite. Go check it out and you won't be sorry!
