The Broncos kicker donated $5,000, and he plans to keep going.

A restaurant in Arvada got a little extra boost this holiday season courtesy of Denver Broncos kicker Brandon McManus. Jack’s Bar and Grill and Steamers Coffeehouse, located at 8565 Five Parks Drive in Arvada, was given $5,000 by McManus as part of his “Project McManus” foundation. He made the donation on the afternoon of Tuesday, December 15,  and the restaurant got right to work putting those funds to good use.

Jack’s Bar and Grill and Steamers Coffeehouse used the $5,000 to donate free meals to customers and hoped that customers would pay it forward by tipping their staff. The restaurant employs and supports people with developmental disabilities, and they were thrilled at the chance to support their staff and clientele in this way.

The event was a huge success, with the $5,000 worth of sales going in just about an hour. Those who came for the free meals were generous in tipping and the restart truly felt the love from the community.

McManus plans to donate $5,000 to two more Colorado restaurants over the next few weeks. His foundation works "to empower at-risk and disadvantaged youth through literacy, resource, scholarship, and educational programming." McManus has donated and impacted the community in Colorado through his foundation in many ways; he started the Kickin' it in the Kitchen fundraiser and the GLOBAL Be Beautiful Be Yourself Fashion Show
