Go for the gold at home with specially wrapped burritos from Chipotle.

The 2020 Summer Olympics are (finally) underway in Tokyo, Japan. As countries around the world rally their athletes to go for the gold, Chipotle Mexican Grill is adding a little “gold” to the menu. For a limited time beginning on July 23, Chipotle will be wrapping its signature burritos in gold foil.

Fans can also order special menu items created by Olympic athletes competing in the summer games. Fans also get their orders delivered for free, for a limited time only.

The global pandemic forced the postponement of the regularly scheduled Summer Olympic Games in 2020. The games have been rescheduled and will now take place in Tokyo, Japan, from July 23 through August 8. Unfortunately, due to another rise in coronavirus cases globally, fans will not be present during the games and athletes are subject to strict isolation. No fans in the stands mean Americans will have to find other ways to support the Olympic athletes in their quest for the gold. The unique gold foil packaging is just one way Chipotle restaurants are supporting Team USA.

"We pride ourselves on being a go-to restaurant for many of the country's top competitors," said Chris Brandt, Chief Marketing Officer. "Our gold foil is symbolic of our support of American athletics and commitment to providing Real Food for Real Athletes.”

You can enjoy the games from the comfort of your living room while enjoying a dish created by your favorite athlete. Now through August 1, get free delivery when you place an order for $10 or more through the app or at Chipotle.com.

Visit teamchipotle.com and to learn about the athletes, watch short videos and view each athlete’s curated order.
