Today's the last day to see a 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle card at McGregor Square!

If you missed the action this weekend, the most sought-after baseball card in history arrived in Denver on Saturday and is on display at the Rally Hotel in McGregor Square until the end of the day today. 

The 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle card arrived via police escort (15 Denver policemen) in an armored vehicle. The card is usually kept in a secure bank vault, but a private collector and Denver resident Marshall Fogel (the card's owner since 1996) decided to put it on display for the world to see—for three days only.

The card is on display at the Rally Hotel in its Hall of Legends exhibit. The exhibit is a limited-time exhibit commemorating baseball's finest players as players gather in Denver for the MLB All-Star Week. Open until July 18, the exhibit displays some of baseball's finest memorabilia, including the jersey worn by Joe DiMaggio when he hit his last home run, Hank Aaron's bat and glove, and, for one more day, the famous 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle baseball card. 

The card currently resides in the same display case that showed President Thomas Jefferson's Bible and the inkwell used by Generals Robert E. Lee, and Ulysses S. Grant to sign the Civil War surrender at Appomattox. 

Tickets are $10, and visitors will receive baseball cards to take home while supplies last. Now's the time to head over and see history come alive before your eyes!
