Pilots out of Oceana Naval Air Station are speaking up about UFOs that, they claim, have been flying over Virginia for the past five years. 

The thought of a green alien walking the earth seems a bit ludicrous, but according to the pilots at Virginia’s Naval Air Station Oceana, there is something out there. Pilots within the VFA-11 “Red Rippers” fighter squadron say that UFOs have been cruising the skies for more than five years now. 

"These things would be out there all day," Lt. Ryan Graves, an F/A-18 Super Hornet pilot, told the New York Times. "Keeping an aircraft in the air requires a significant amount of energy. With the speeds we observed, 12 hours in the air is 11 hours longer than we'd expect."

Apparently, these unidentified objects were flying up to 30,000 feet in the air sans exhaust or engine plumes. 

"We know that UFOs exist. This is no longer an issue," said Christopher Mellon, a former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Intelligence. “The issue is why are they here? Where are they coming from and what is the technology behind these devices that we are observing?"

While talk of UFOs isn’t news to Mellon, it’s made quite the uproar on television and the internet. And according to Mellon, America isn’t the only country to see these objects, and he’s not happy about it, either. 

"These are reactions between intelligently controlled vehicles operating in and around U.S. military facilities, hence the concern," Mellon said. "One: there have been near mid-air collisions so there is a safety issue. Two, there is a vital national security issue which is that our sovereignty is being violated by vehicles of unknown origin.” 

In hopes of finally spreading the word, Mellon has decided to release his well-researched discoveries to the public in the form of a brand-new television series, Unidentified: Inside America's UFO Investigation.
