Fall Festival | Hickory Ridge Farm | Ongoing

The annual fall festival held at Hickory Ridge Farm is anticipated by locals every year. Pick out your own pumpkin, then enjoy a hayride, bounce houses, pony rides, petting zoo, corn maze, toddler hay maze, and more. Tickets are $5-$13 each. Learn more here!

Haunting at Greenbrier Farms | Historic Greenbrier Farms, Chesapeake | Ongoing

A costumed guide will lead you through 20 minutes worth of scary attractions including Dr. Eason's Horror Chambers, The Killing Corn, GB66 The Burial Grounds, Your Last Hayride, and El Camino De Los Diablos. Tickets are $25-$40 each. Check it out here!

Haunted Hunt Club Farm | Hunt Club Farm, Virginia Beach | Ongoing

Known for taking it over the top, Hunt Club Farm has the most popular haunted house in all of Hampton Roads. With plenty of scary attractions, hired actors, and realistic decor, the farm features three different scare attractions, including a Haunted Hayride, Field of Screams, and a Village of the Dead. Plus, don't forget the carnival rides, lots of delicious food and drinks, and a scarecrow on stilts working his way through the main barn. Tickets are $25 per person! See the event here!

Neptune Festival Art and Craft Show | Virginia Beach Boardwalk | Friday–Sunday

Local and national artists will gather along the Virginia Beach Boardwalk to showcase their beautiful and unique pieces of art, and you'll have the chance to vote on who takes home the big prize! Once the winners are determined, you can find a piece from your favorite artist to purchase and take home with you! The event is free and open to the public. Read more here!

Friday Fever Open Mic and After-Party | Elliot's Soul Food Spot | Friday

Do you think you have what it takes to crack a good joke or carry a tune? Hang out with other Richmond residents, Comedian T.Q., and, poet/DJ Jamil Jasey from 8 to 11 p.m. and show off your talents. Halloween Haunt | Kings Dominion | Ongoing

Head on out to Kings Dominion after dark for the annual fright of your life. Every year, Kings Dominion hosts a "Halloween Haunt" spectacular that will make you scream and run away in fear. Big Dill Challenge | Quarterpath Recreation Center | Saturday

Do you love pickleball? Do you love donating to charity? Then, revel in a day filled with eight timed pickleball games. You will be randomly matched with various partners, blind gender doubles, and six matches per player. All proceeds will go to the United Way of the Virginia Peninsula. Admission is $20 per ticket. Busch Gardens Howl-O-Scream | Busch Gardens | Ongoing

Every year, we count down the days to when Busch Gardens' Howl-O-Scream will be open. After dark, the park is transformed into a spooky land, filled with ghosts, goblins, clowns, frights, and haunted attractions. The event runs from September 20 to November 2 so you have plenty of time to crap your pants, scream, and run away to the next fright. Admission to the event is free with admission to the park.
