Motorists will have to adjust to two major highway projects in Baltimore County starting on Monday.

The Maryland State Highway Administration announced the projects that are scheduled to start March 3 and will last through the month, weather permitting.

The first will be on Interstate-695 as several interchange ramps will be closed overnight in the Catonsville area. Crews will be working from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., Mondays through Thursdays.

The SHA is advising drivers to plan for extra travel time and expect detours for the closed ramps. Here is the order of the closures and detours starting next week.

The SHA also announced another project starting on Interstate-795 from Owings Mills to the Pikesville areas. They will be conducting concrete repairs that will require single-lane closures of the right and left shoulders.

Starting Monday, a contractor crew will begin working along sections of southbound I-795 from the Owings Mills METRO station to I-695 to mark locations for concrete pavement repair work that will be done this spring.

The crew will proceed southbound on I-795 each day with temporary shoulder and single-lane closures along southbound I-795 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. weekdays.

The SHA advises all through travelers to plan for extra travel time on southbound I-795 between Owings Mills and Pikesville and to look ahead for left or right shoulder and lane closures.
