If you find yourself in beautiful, historic Richmond, Virginia, and are in need of caffeine, something pretty to Instagram, or just a sweet Danish pastry, the city will not disappoint.
There are plenty of good places to get that caffeine fix you crave, but the ones on this list have the three key components: quality product, décor, and ambience.
Here are three cool coffee shops to check out in Richmond, Virginia!
1217 East Cary Street, Richmond, VA 23219
With exposed brick, gallery walls, and farmhouse-chic, rustic details, the Urban Farmhouse and Market (located on the charming, cobblestone East Cary Street) will make you think you're in an actual farmhouse -- or at least in Joanna Gaines' kitchen.
The Urban Farmhouse and Market specializes in organic, farm-to-table offerings. Grab a fresh house-brewed coffee and one of their addicting sugar cookies, or stay for lunch and enjoy a sandwich with curated meats and farm-fresh eggs. Their
menu is full of fancy drinks like hot and iced matcha, chai, and other lattes, while the café also serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

2928 West Cary Street, Richmond, VA 23221
Sugar and Twine is one of those local coffeehouses and artisanal bakeries you’ve probably only seen on a show like
Gilmore Girls. But it actually
does exist in real life, and the coffee and pastries are worth every visit.
It’s located in Carytown, a neighborhood known for shopping, brunch, and historic row houses. The atmosphere is homey, with the
daily menu displayed in the storefront window. Because all the pastries are made by hand every morning, you really can’t go wrong, but if you
must choose, go for chocolate croissant, sweet potato biscuit, or almond horn. They also have several vegan and gluten-free options available daily. Make sure to pick up a cup of their drip coffee as well, which is locally roasted by Blanchards, Roastology, and Trager Brothers Coffee.

If you’re looking for a quick bite and a caffeine fix you know will be good, Sefton is your spot!
