Whether you’re new in town, just here for the week, or you’ve lived here all your life, there’s something for everyone to do in Denver! See the city in style, check out a roller coaster that’s older than you are (probably), get some tasty food, or even just float down a river with your friends. Colorado is a beautiful state, and its capital is full of fun activities to do with visiting relatives or old friends.Cruise Downtown in Style

Relive the Charm of the 1900’s
Lakeside is an amusement park with plenty of charm and history. It’s been in the same location since 1908, and it boasts a wooden roller coaster that’s 70 years old! Enjoy the views of the lake and downtown, check out the classic neon that still works inside the park, or hop on one of their many rides. It’s also a wonderfully affordable option-- parking is free, admission is $3 per person, and ride coupons are 50 cents each (each ride takes between 1 and 6 coupons). Be sure to ride the Cyclone while you’re there-- the line is long for a reason!Float Down a Beautiful River

Grab Some Genuine English Fare
Get Battered Fish and Chips brings the English countryside to Denver. If you’re not a fan of fish, they have other offerings as well. Shepherd’s Pie, Pasties, Bangers & Mash, and Pork Pies will all make you feel like you’ve left Colorado far behind. Come check out Tilapia Tuesdays-- $1 per piece of Tilapia all day every Tuesday! Everything is made fresh in-house-- they even stuff their own bangers. This is the only place in Colorado to get that genuine English food with a local, homegrown atmosphere.Step Waaaaay Back in Time
