As we prepare to officially welcome in winter and the holiday stress starts to pile on, we want to remind you that we live in the Mile-High city and there is plenty to do to send that holiday funk packing.  This week has plenty of spirits, music to celebrate the season, and Christmas comedy that will add merriment to your week!

Puppies and Patron Happy Hour

Described as the "ultimate happy hour", this event brings together tequila and puppies—and we are totally here for it. This 21-and-over event welcomes folks to come and cuddle puppies from Lifeline Puppy Rescue, take photos with puppies, Santa—or both—and plenty of shopping, drink specials, food trucks, and more. 

Colorado Symphony Orchestra - All Beethoven 250th Birthday Celebration

When: December 16, 7:30 p.m.
Where: Boettcher Concert Hall
Price: $15+

Assistant Conductor Bertie Baigent and the Colorado Symphony kicks off the 2020 celebration of Beethoven’s 250th birthday with a one-night performance of his Fifth Symphony, “a cornerstone of the Classical canon, which famously opens with his ominous four-note motif signifying 'fate knocking at the door'."

Union Station Live Jazz: Treble by Train

When: December 17, 7–9 p.m.
Where: The Great Hall Union Station
Price: Free

Denver jazz staple LAPOMPE hosts this recurring jazz series every Tuesday night in Denver’s iconic Union Station. Live music and beverages will be available for purchase as the band explores a mixture of Gypsy jazz, burning blues, and American jazz standards in a celebration of vintage jazz sound.

Cider and Pie at Stem Ciders

Stem Ciders is offering a flight of four mini pies paired with four ciders for $20. Pies include the Drunken Nut bourbon chocolate pecan pie, salted honey lavender, and a spiced apple cranberry, along with sweet and spicy house-made ciders.

Orlando Magic @ Denver Nuggets: Nuggets' Holiday Game

The Nuggets face off against the Magic for a home game. Fans who purchase the special promotional night tickets will receive a Nuggets T-shirt and a $10 loaded card to use in the arena.

Sips N' Cinema: A Movie & Tasting Featuring Marble Distilling

If you think you are fed up with holiday stress imagine how Santa feels! Old Nick decides to give Christmas a 2019-upgrade and sets off a chain of events that escalates in hilarious fashion. Santa decides to run away from it all, and Christmas may never be the same.
