The Razorbacks’ last win came against Texas A&M on Jan. 30 (72-51). • Missouri has lost three straight and six of its last seven games, but has been much more competitive in its losses than Arkansas. • It was announced Wednesday afternoon that Missouri coach Robin Pingeton will step down when the season ends after 15 seasons as head coach of the Tigers. • Arkansas senior guard Izzy Higginbottom, who originally signed with Missouri out of Batesville High School before transferring back home to Arkansas State, ranks fifth nationally and leads the SEC scoring at 23.5 points per game, slightly ahead of Vanderbilt’s Mikayla Blakes at 23.2. Higginbottom has scored at least 30 points in five games, including a career-high 40 in a 108-78 loss to Florida. Higginbottom also leads the SEC in free-throw percentage at 90.4. • Missouri sophomore guard Grace Slaughter leads the Tigers in scoring at 15.5 points per game, which ranks 15th in the SEC. Slaughter has scored in double-figures in 11 consecutive games and ranks eighth in the SEC in field goal percentage at 50.2. • The Tigers are one of the nation’s top three-point shooting teams in terms of percentage behind the arc. Missouri ranks second in the SEC and ninth nationally at 37.32 percent. Slaughter ranks fifth nationally in three-point percentage at 46.9. • Arkansas closes the regular season against teams that are a combined 5-23 in the SEC. Following Thursday’s game against Missouri, the Razorbacks hit the road to Texas A&M on Sunday, a team Arkansas blasted by 21 points a month ago. With wins in its final two games, Arkansas could climb to as high as the No. 12 seed in the SEC Tournament, where it would face the No. 13 seed. Auburn, Texas A&M, Georgia, Missouri and Arkansas are all within one game of each other heading into the final week of the season.
