Carlos Alcaraz returns to Monte Carlo for the first time since 2022. The Spaniard made a second-round exit during his last visit to the Monte Carlo Country Club. Alcaraz won the Rotterdam Open in February but has not reached the final since then.

Jack Draper , winner of the Indian Wells Open 2025 is also returning to the Tour after a short break. Another former champion in the main draw is 2014 winner Stan Wawrinka. Wawrinka is headed for a clash with Djokovic in the second round. Wawrinka is a wildcard entry and will clash with the Serb for the 28th time on tour. Djokovic leads their head-to-head 21-6.
