RICHMOND HEIGHTS, Ohio -- Security at the Huntington Bank on Wilson Mills Road requested officers respond to the business March 7 because they had an elderly customer present who they believed was being scammed.

The woman was attempting to withdraw $14,000 from her account and employees believed that somebody was waiting outside for her.

Officers spoke to the woman, 88, and learned she was involved in a scam that started with her clicking on a notification on her computer. She had not been given instructions yet from the scammer on what to do with the money.
