The Nationals Winterfest on Dec. 16 and 17 is a holiday event every local baseball fan should attend.

If you love the Washington Nationals and major league baseball, then you won’t want to miss the Washington Nationals’ Winterfest on December 16 and 17 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. Sports network MASN will be on site giving patrons a chance to win Nationals prizes such as game tickets, autographed jerseys, balls and bats, and more. The two-day event will also feature player and coaches’ clinics, a homerun derby with the franchise’s mascots, a giant slide for kids, baseball and wintertime stories read by Nationals players, the chance to make a snow fort, a steal home base challenge, batting practice, and a virtual reality “video pitch” game. Baseball fans who wish to get autographs by their favorite Nationals players can also do so. Autograph vouchers are currently on sale for $25, guaranteeing a minimum of two autographs by team’s players. A lucky few will walk away with holiday-themed sweaters as well! Plus, visitors to the MASN booth will also be given a chance to take a photo with the network’s broadcasters, Bob Carpenter, Dan Kolko, F.P. Santangelo, and Johnny Holliday.
