Wait for it: Denver tickets for the national tour of the Broadway musical Hamilton will go on sale on Monday, January 22, at 10 a.m.

Hamilton is here at last. The Tony Award-winning musical will appear at Denver's Buell Theatre for just over a month, from February 27 through April 1, and the Denver Center for Performing Arts (DCPA) has finally announced when tickets will go on sale! Beginning Monday, January 22, at 10 a.m., Hamilton tickets will be available on the DCPA website at hamilton.denvercenter.org. A maximum of four tickets can be purchased per account. Tickets will be a hot item and are sure to sell out fast, so we recommend that you set your calendar and alarm so you can be sitting in front of your computer when the clock strikes 10. (Don't throw away your shot!)
Tickets will cost between $75 and $165, though there will be some premium seats ($545) and lottery seats ($10) available for all performances. DCPA is the only authorized provider of tickets, so be sure to stay away from third party sellers. Click here for more information! If you've (somehow) been in the dark about this long-awaited production, here's what DCPA has to say about it:
"Hamilton is the story of America's Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, an immigrant from the West Indies who became George Washington's right-hand man during the Revolutionary War and was the new nation’s first Treasury Secretary. Featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, blues, rap, R&B, and Broadway, Hamilton is the story of America then, as told by America now."
Written by Lin-Manuel Miranda, Hamilton opened on Broadway in August 2015 to much critical acclaim, eventually winning multiple awards, including 11 Tonys and a Grammy -- and even landing Miranda a Pulitzer Prize.
The national tour began in March 2017, and tickets to the San Francisco run (the first city on the tour) sold out within 24 hours, with more than 110,000 people in the online waiting room. That says a lot about the high demand! Will you be sitting in front of your computer at 10 a.m. on January 22? Have you seen Hamilton in another city already? What did you think? My family and I traveled to Chicago this past summer to see it, and it was insanely good. We'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!
