MEMPHIS, Tenn. - A boy was struck by a vehicle Thursday morning in Parkway Village, police said.

Memphis Police (MPD) said it happened just after 7:15 a.m.

Police said officers responded to "a pedestrian struck" at Scottsdale Avenue and South Mendenhall Road and found a boy had been hit by a vehicle. He was taken to Le Bonheur Children's Hospital in non-critical condition.

MPD said the driver took off from the scene.

No other details were released.
