One of the best ways to get through a long and dreary January is by cozying up inside a brand-new restaurant, cafe or bar where you can try new foods and meet new people. Thankfully, metro Phoenix restaurateurs opened over 30 new places in the Valley recently where you can do just that.

Some of the most anticipated new restaurants included Main Burgers in Mesa from the team behind Santo Arcadia; Industry Standard, an upscale new restaurant in the former Carly's Bistro space in downtown Phoenix; and Tiki Taka, a new Japanese-Sonoran eatery from celebrity chef Richard Blais in Scottsdale.

Other exciting new restaurant openings included The Grind by Chic Chef coffee shop in downtown Phoenix, Daruma by Rie in Mesa, Elvira's in Scottsdale, MB Foodhouse in Phoenix and Postino in Peoria.
