Bristol Palin 's 15-year-old son Tripp Easton Johnston spent quality time
bonding with his stepmother Sunny Oglesby Johnston on Sunday - two months after texting her that he was moving to
Alaska in order to be closer to his father Levi Johnston. 'He just texted me,' the Texan-based 34-year-old recalled on
Cheryl Burke's podcast on August 25. 'He's like, "Hey Mom. I'm not coming back." Oh, I couldn't even believe it! At first I'm like, "I'm coming up to Alaska, we're not doing this!" I was so mad. So mad.' Bristol 'selfishly' wanted her 'best friend' to stay, but ultimately respected 'that he thinks this is what's best and he needs that relationship with his dad.' 'So as hard as it is for me, and it's so hard for my girls too, I know that he needs to grow that relationship with his dad,' Palin noted.
