BRAINERD – The Bemidji High School girls golf team’s annual trip to The Classic at Madden’s Invitational in Brainerd poses one of the toughest courses it will play at each season. Wednesday morning was no different. The Lumberjacks took 11th place with a score of 378. Detroit Lakes won the meet with a 306, 20 shots better than runner-up Alexandria. Brynn Meyer was the lone BHS player to break 90. She carded an 89 to tie for 25th place. Taylor Schulke came in 41st with a 94, while Aurora Frank finished with a 96 in 49th. Mickaylee Garrigan shot a 99 for 58th place individually, while Halle Sanden (100, 64th) and Anika Ohnstad (109, 82nd) also competed for the Jacks. Just one player shot even par in the tournament.
