The Denver Broncos are moving swiftly towards the 2025 NFL season, and that includes introducing rookies and undrafted free agents into the 90-man roster mix. One of those new players is undrafted free agent JB Brown, formerly of Kansas and Bowling Green .

Brown was among players with an extra year of collegiate eligibility, thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic. Brown (6-2, 220 pounds) played for Bowling Green University from 2020-22, where he played in 30 games. In that time, Brown recorded 75 combined tackles (48 solo, 27 assisted), six tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, one pass deflection, two fumble recoveries and three forced fumbles.

Brown then transferred to Kansas ahead of the 2023 NFL season. In 25 games, Brown recorded 131 tackles (91 solo, 40 assisted), 16 tackles for loss, 7.0 sacks, four pass deflections, two fumble recoveries and two forced fumbles. In 2024, Brown had his best statistical year in college; Brown had 74 total tackles (52 solo, 22 assisted), 10 tackles for loss and 5.0 sacks, earning an All Big-12 Honorable Mention at linebacker.

Brown joins linebackers Alex Singleton and Dre Greenlaw in the middle of an already-stout Broncos defense in 2025.
