The currently untitled film is loosely inspired by the story of entrepreneur Whitney Wolfe Herd.

The story behind the popular dating app Bumble is coming to the big screen with Emmy-nominated Lily James set to star as founder Whitney Wolfe Herd in a new film from 20th Century Studios and Ethea Entertainment.

Currently untitled, details on the film are few and far between, but it will be directed by the Emmy-winning Rachel Lee Goldenberg, who also serves as co-writer on the screenplay with Kim Caramele and Bill Parker.

Deadline reports that the latest cast member to join the film is Dan Stevens, who is expected to play the role of Herd's business partner.

Stevens has most recently appeared as Trapper in Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire and Frank in Abigail . He has four other projects currently in the works, including an appearance in the upcoming Among Us series.

Production on the Bumble film is yet to begin, but cameras are expected to start rolling later this year.

Plot details are under wraps, but the film is inspired by Whitney Wolfe Herd's story, who became one of the youngest self-made billionaires after launching Bumble.

Herd is an American entrepreneur who also co-founded Tinder, where she served as the vice president of marketing before she resigned from the company.

Other cast members listed to appear include Myha'la and Jackson White, but their roles in the film are currently unknown.

Lily James serves as a producer alongside Jennifer Gibgot and Andrew Panay, with Gala Gordon and Sarah Shepard executive producing.
