ST. MARY’S COUNTY, MD — A fatal wrong turn at a Maryland intersection ended in heartbreak Thursday evening when a two-vehicle crash killed one driver and left an elderly couple hospitalized with serious injuries. The deadly collision unfolded just before 6 p.m. at the crossroads of Maryland Route 235 and Mt. Zion Church Road. Investigators said a GMC Canyon, driven by 92-year-old Casper Bradbury Sr., with 90-year-old Norma Bradbury in the passenger seat, was making a left turn onto Mt. Zion Church Road but failed to yield to oncoming traffic. That’s when a GMC Envoy, barreling down Route 235, slammed into the passenger side of the Canyon — a devastating hit that claimed the life of the Envoy’s driver, 59-year-old Jean Gagnon, who died at the scene.
