Buffalo Bills quarterbacks coach Ronald Curry worked out Maryland prospects prior to the NFL Draft. He liked what he saw from wide receiver Kaden Prather. The Bills selected Prather with their final pick, No. 240 overall in the seventh round, in the 2025 draft. "He's a big, straight line, fast guy," Bills general manager Brandon Beane said in a press conference after Buffalo completed its nine picks. "RC spoke very highly of him during that and that made an impression on us." Beane said Prather could also compete on special teams. Prather is 6-foot-3 and 204 pounds and had 162 catches for 1,966 yards and 12 touchdowns over four years split between West Virginia and Maryland. He caught passes from Taulia Tagovailoa, the younger brother of Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, at Maryland in 2023.
