The Emporia High girls swim team finished fifth at Marion on Friday with 163 points. Brooke Monroe had the top finish, taking third in diving with a score of 179.80. The 400-yard freestyle relay team of Taryn Woydziak, Monroe, Camryn Spafford and Connelly Prouse finished fourth (4:46.58). The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Ava Podrebarac, Spafford, Woydziak and Monroe finished fifth (2:04.69). Woydziak finished seventh in the 100-yard freestyle (1:09.01) and finished 10th in the 50-yard freestyle (30.52). Podrebarac finished eighth in the 200-yard IM (3:06.22). Monroe, Ellie Grimmett, Podrebarac and Prouse made up the 200-yard medley relay team, finishing ninth (2:34.72). Prouse finished 10th in the 500-yard freestyle (7:23.43). Spafford finished 10th in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:32.99). Emporia High heads to Topeka on Tuesday.
