An early morning collision on Krome Avenue in northwest Miami-Dade has resulted in the death of one person, while another has been critically injured. The Florida Highway Patrol was alerted to the accident involving a Dodge pickup truck and a Ford pickup truck at approximately 5 a.m. at the intersection of Okeechobee Road and Krome Avenue, near the eastern stretches of the Everglades, as reported by NBC Miami.

The driver of the Dodge pickup was declared dead at the scene, while the driver of the Ford pickup sustained severe injuries and was airlifted to Ryder Trauma Center.
