Even though physical gatherings are being put on hold for a bit, virtual tours are here to stay! We have five amazing virtual tours that would be fun to view even we weren't stuck indoors.

Lately, there's been a lot of talk about what to do if/when we are stuck inside for an extended amount of time. Of course, we have a ton of fun ways to stay engaged, like playing games, watching Netflix, and building toilet paper forts. But what about some ideas to keep education flowing through our homes? Well, we are incredibly lucky to have access to the internet and current technology because we are able to explore places all over the world right from the comfort of our homes. Earlier, we published a list of six virtual tours, including the Louvre and the Vatican Museums!

Here are five more of the coolest virtual tours that museums around the world have to offer:

National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art

The National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MMCA) in Seoul, South Korea, is only one of four branches of this Korean museum and boasts an impressive online gallery for virtual visitors to enjoy. Since the museum opened in 1969, it has become one of Korea's most popular galleries and has always been dedicated to educating people on the various disciplines of art, humanities, and science. The MMCA offers not only six incredible point-and-click walkthrough options but also several online exhibits of past collections and up-close renderings of hundreds of works of art.

The J. Paul Getty Museum

The J. Paul Getty Museum is located in sunny Los Angeles, California, and has a gorgeous display of art from the eighth through the 21st century. The wood floors and warm walls serve as a backdrop to European paintings, sculptures, and drawings. While the virtual tour offers point-and-click experience and a variety of displayed artwork, the collections tab lets you view thousands of pieces of art at your fingertips!

Uffizi Gallery

MASP

The Museu de Arte de São Paulo (MASP) is a private, nonprofit museum that is also known as Brazil's first modern museum. This is my personal favorite virtual tour of the entire list! The layout is easy to navigate with the point-and-click style of the tour, but the display of these incredible European, Brazilian, Asian, and African artworks is what shook me. The pieces are perfectly placed in pieces of glass and displayed in the middle of the floor, making each piece of art look like its suspended in mid-air.
