KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV)—Good morning and happy Red Friday!

We are frigid this morning, resulting in a First Warn through 10 a.m. Feel-like temperatures will range from -10 to 10 degrees during this time before warming up into the afternoon with a high of 39 degrees and sunny skies.

The near-average temperatures continue into Saturday but with more cloud cover throughout the day. A cold front will sweep through the area Saturday night into Sunday, bringing a few degrees to drop the high temperatures, with afternoon highs still above that freezing mark. If you are heading to Arrowhead for the game, make sure to pack a few layers, as it will still be chilly throughout tailgating and the game.

After Sunday, temperatures start to warm up nicely, with highs about 5-10 degrees above freezing on Monday and even warmer on Tuesday. I’m talking about highs in the mid-to-upper 40s, with some areas into the 50s! We haven’t seen these types of warm temperatures in nearly 30 days! The mild pattern continues most of the week before a potential front moves through by the end of the work week.

The models’ placement for the low pressure is not aligning, which will determine whether we stay warmer and dry or experience a cooler pattern with precipitation. Regardless, this is the next system we will be watching for the next seven days.
