A spectacular Mother’s Day will be on tap for Mid-Missouri with widespread upper 70s to low 80s. Low humidity and light winds will also add to the pleasant weather making for a great day to do outdoor activities later this afternoon and evening. Some upper-level clouds will be present throughout the day, but overall sunshine will mainly dominate. Temperatures overnight will drop into the 60s and upper 50s for lows with a few more clouds around. The week starts out with 70s on Monday and few more clouds to contend with. A stubborn disturbance in the southeast US will eventually nudge northward bringing some wraparound moisture from the east. As a result, some isolated storms will fire in southeast and eastern Missouri Monday afternoon with a few making their way into central Missouri. These will be very isolated in nature with most missing out. Storm chances diminish after sunset Monday and we turn the page to a warm and even hot week ahead. We are at 80 by Tuesday and mid to upper 80s for Wednesday and Thursday with more humidity.
