Orlando City is back on the road for Sunday’s MLS match, traveling to Fort Lauderdale to take on Lionel Messi and company. The Lions (5-2-6, 21 points) will face Inter Miami (6-2-4, 22 points), which is just above them in the Eastern Conference standings. “We have a good feeling now with the wind on our back. We feel good; we have a positive feeling in the dressing room, on the pitch,” said Orlando City forward Marco Pašalić. “We don’t lose the games. We play good, so I think the communication on the pitch and in the dressing room is top.” Orlando City has been in great form in recent weeks. The Lions are unbeaten in their last 11 games in all competitions and have scored six goals over the previous two games in league play. They must carry on with that form against a Miami side they have not beaten in the last five matches. The good news for Orlando is that Inter Miami has been struggling. The Herons have lost four of their last six games in all competitions, only winning once in that same period. They scored 12 goals over those matches but conceded a shocking 17 goals, making them a ripe target for Orlando’s in-form attack. Rivalry games have a habit of bringing out the best in both teams, potentially levelling the playing field for two sides entering in vastly different form. The Lions are fired up for the chance to beat such a high-profile team. “This is more than a game. It’s to defend our territory and to show who is better,” Pašalić added. “It’s going to be a special game. The opponent is good, and we don’t have to speak about the players because everybody knows, but we are going to Miami to win this game.”
