(Fremont County, WY) – Wyoming high school volleyball teams enter the post-season this week with teams competing at regionals for an opportunity to qualify for the state tournament in Casper, November 7-9.

Lander Valley High School will host the 1A and 2A west regional events Friday and Saturday. Meanwhile, Lander goes to the 3A West in Powell and Riverton is at the 4A West in Evanston.

Dubois takes their 19-10 record into the 1A tournament and is the third seed from the northwest. They’ll meet Cokeville in the first round at 2:00 p.m. Friday from the LVHS auxiliary gym.

The 2A west features three County 10 squads. Shoshoni, who enters at 9-18, Wyoming Indian is 7-21 on the season and Wind River at 1-22 overall.

Lander competes at the 3A west in Powell. The Lady Tigers are 11-15 on the season and are the 4th seed, meeting up with Pinedale in round one.

Riverton will enter regionals just below .500 at 13-15. The 4A west teams meet in Evanston and the Lady Wolverines face the northwest’s #1 seed, Kelly Walsh first.

On the east side of the state, regional tournaments will be held at Cheyenne South, Douglas, Pine Bluffs and Guernsey-Sunrise.
