A highly respected team leader, Jarrett was twice named the Falcons' nominee for the prestigious Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award. He was considered the heart and soul of Atlanta's defense, a role that Jarrett embraced.

"It means a lot," he said. "It's something I definitely take pride in, but something that comes naturally just by the way I handle my business. It's nothing that I'm trying to go force. It's really just my love for the game, my love for trying to uplift people around me. When you care about [teammates] and you put in the [same amount] of work, it makes you want to go harder, and I think that just translates and really touches everybody."

Jarrett has made the same type of impact off the field in Atlanta. He was nominated for the Man of the Year Award in 2019 and 2024 in large part due to his community involvement. The veteran defensive tackle operates the Grady Gives foundation, which advocates for and promotes awareness for causes such as anti-bullying, literacy awareness and empowering youth and young adults to find their purpose in life. Last June he granted $70,000 in scholarships to help students from underprivileged backgrounds advance their academic careers.
