Ground was broken on the first Habitat home built in Richmond in the last 6 years this Tuesday. The home will be going to the Hart family, pictured here with members of Habitat For Humanity of Madison and Clark Counties.On Tuesday March 18th Habitat for Humanity of Madison County and Clark Counties broke ground on a new home, the first home to be built by them in Richmond in the last six years.The city of Richmond tore down two dilapidated houses 15 years ago, and deeded the lots left behind to Habitat for Humanity three years ago. The city of Richmond also gave Habitat a grant for $50,000 for this project. Habitat finally began work on building houses on those lots this Tuesday.
