ALEXANDRIA — The Alexandria Blizzard took a 1-0 lead late in the first period of its game on Friday against the Granite City Lumberjacks as Jackson Miller scored for the Blizzard.

But four unanswered goals gave the Lumberjacks a 4-1 win at the Runestone Community Center in Alexandria on March 7, 2025.

Granite City’s TJ Lepisto and Dominic Thomas scored in the final 1:20 of the first period to put their team up 2-1 over the Blizzard.

Lepisto scored 56 seconds into the second period, and Finn Greeley scored with five seconds in the second period to seal the Lumberjacks’ 4-1 win.

Granite City had a 40-29 shot on goal advantage in Friday’s game.

Alexandria finishes the regular season with a 27-18-2 record (56 points) and in second place in the NA3HL West division behind Granite City (35-7-3-2, 75 points).

The Blizzard will play the Minnesota Moose (23-19-4-1, 51 points) in a best-of-three series in the NA3HL West division semifinals on March 13-16, 2025.
