Callabyte Technology announced it will end its TV service in February of 2025.

Callabyte -- part of Callaway Electric Cooperative -- receives video content through Co-Mo Connect, of Tipton. Co-Mo Connect recently decided to no longer offer TV service, which is the reason Callabyte has decided to end the service.

South Callaway baseball got a look at a potential Class 3 state quarterfinal and sectionals opponent in its doubleheader Saturday at South Callaway's baseball field.

"Both games today could potentially be a sectional and quarterfinal game," South Callaway baseball assistant Nick Trammell said. "We were supposed to play them last year, it got canceled. But, they're a good ballclub, and they're not very far. And so is Palmyra, they're not very far from us. Both of them are great ballclubs and right before districts, it's good to play quality opponents and see where you're at and see what you need to work on. That was the mindset of playing them and getting two quality opponents before it's go time."

The Fulton High School greenhouse opened April 22 and will continue to sell various plants until May 23.

The greenhouse is made possible by the student's hard work throughout the school year.

Near the Missouri River are three greenhouses full of more than 17,000 plants and flowers that will be for sale from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday.

William Woods University hosted commencement ceremonies Saturday, when almost 400 students graduated.

The first ceremony was for undergraduate students. 190 undergraduates were in the ceremony.

A Fulton resident received a Show Me Service Award on April 23.

The Fulton Fire Department responded to a fire at Total Health and Rehabilitation Center on Monday evening.

A release states the fire department was called to respond to the fire at 710 S. Business 54 around 9:02 p.m. Monday.

Sarah McDaniel, CEO of YMCA of Callaway County and coach of YOCC Tide, spoke to the Fulton Rotary Club about the organization's swim teams.

The YMCA's competitive swim team is YOCC Tide, which competes in the Heartland Area YMCA Swimming League.

William Woods University's Board of Trustees extended President Jeremy Moreland's contract through 2030.

A release states the board unanimously decided to extend Moreland's contract during last week's board meeting.

Jessica Manion, assistant professor of accounting at William Woods University, was selected by students as 2024 distinguished professor.

Manion is the most recent recipient of the Louis D. Beaumont Dad's Association Distinguished Professor of the Year Award. This award is part of the university's annual year-end academic honors.

Jennifer Johnson shared information about Kingdom Christian Academy with the Fulton Kiwanis Club during their weekly meeting Thursday.

Johnson is the treasurer of Kingdom Christian Academy's Board of Directors.
