The Kansas City Chiefs players' offseason workouts continue, and another starter provides a crucial update on his injury status. Rashee Rice's road to recovery has been extensive. He's been out of action since last October due to knee surgery. The Chiefs' wide receiver recently shared on his Instagram that he's been given the green light to work on his route running. "They just cleared the kid for the route tree!" wrote Rice in the caption. "Thank you to the man up above!" Rice being allowed to run the route tree increases optimism of his eventual return to the lineup well ahead of training camp. The update also confirms head coach Andy Reid's comments to reporters during last week's league meetings in Florida. Rice had led the Chiefs and was amongst the league leaders in receiving last season before his Week 4 injury against the Los Angeles Chargers . He continues to post the occasional rehab video, repairing the strength lost in his knee as Kansas City's offense hopes to finally feature him alongside Marquise 'Hollywood' Brown and Xavier Worthy as weapons from the wide receiver position for Patrick Mahomes.
