BURLINGTON, Vt. (WABI) - Kennebunkport’s Max Murray is going to the NCAA College Cup with the Vermont men’s soccer team. The Catamounts are in Division I soccer’s Final Four after defeating Iona, No. 7 Hofstra, San Diego, and No. 2 Pittsburgh. Next up is No. 3 Denver from Cary, North Carolina on Friday at 5 p.m. Here’s what Murray had to say about the run. “We’re not just happy to be here. We expected to be in this position. We got off to a rough start this season, not how we expected it to, but then we’ve kind of found our ground recently. It’s also just built on the experience that we’ve had the last four years,” said Murray, graduate forward. The winner between the Pioneers and Catamounts gets either No. 1 Ohio State or No. 13 Marshall in Monday’s National Championship at 8 p.m.
